Charleston Packing List, courtesy of PLH Travel Planners.

Don't you want me as a bridesmaid?
So I'm in a wedding in a few months, and I'm going to a bachelorette getaway this weekend. I made my demands clear. I will not do this:
and I plan to come to the wedding dressed like this:
My demands are simple and finite. Like the rules of hair care. Thanks Elle, my yoda of choice.
Also, Sami, I got you this. Enjoy your non-anatomically correct gift.

The small joys of working at The New School.
The following is a mass email asking who will be ordering from Spice today:
Subject: "If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?"
Zen Koans like this one are traditional Japanese folk tales that allow multiple interpretations and can help lead to great insights. They are meant to shock the mind into a state of uncertainty, a state of pure potential, a state of enlightenment.
To that noble end I offer another Koan:
"If Thursday afternoon arrives and Edwin is not in the office, does Spice Thursday still take place?"
Today we have the opportunity to once and for all solve a mystery that has befuddled the minds of office workers everywhere for ages. I leave it to each of you to look within yourself and find the answer. Whatever you decide, let me know before noon.
